Ground Improvement Works for a Storage Facility Project
The subsurface conditions consisting loose sands, soft clays, and a shallow water table indicated the potential for liquefaction. To address this, Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD) were installed to accelerate the consolidation of compressible clays. Additionally, 1,384 Geopier® positions were installed to provide settlement control, liquefaction mitigation, and provide foundation support with an enhanced area-wide bearing capacity.
